🏳️ Pride Month 2026

Los Angeles Pride — June 7–8, 2026

Los Angeles is one of eight cities featured on our Pride Month 2026 guide — with dates, hotels, and cruise options for every celebration.

West Hollywood 🏱️

West Hollywood (WeHo) is an independent city of 34,000 people entirely surrounded by Los Angeles — and it is the most LGBTQ+-governed city in the world. Nearly half the city council is openly LGBTQ+. Rainbow crosswalks cover Santa Monica Boulevard. The Abbey is the most famous gay bar on the planet. In three blocks on Santa Monica Blvd from San Vicente to Robertson, you have more gay bars, restaurants, and nightlife than most cities have in their entire gay districts.

Why WeHo is Special

  • 🏠 Independent city — WeHo is its own municipality, not part of LA; LGBTQ+-majority government
  • 🌨 Year-round sunshine — LA averages 284 sunny days; the patio season never ends
  • 🎢 Hollywood celebrity culture — The Abbey, Soho House, and WeHo rooftops draw A-listers regularly
  • 🎉 LA Pride — June Pride in West Hollywood; one of the nation's biggest celebrations
  • 🎤 Silver Lake queer arts — Echo Park and Silver Lake carry LA's alternative queer cultural scene

Neighborhoods to Know

  • 🏞 West Hollywood — Santa Monica Blvd: The Abbey, Mickey's, Flaming Saddles; rainbow crosswalks
  • 🎤 Silver Lake — LA's queer arts neighborhood; The Eagle, The Satellite, indie bars
  • 🌊 Venice Beach — inclusive beach culture; queer-friendly boardwalk scene
  • 🏋 Long Beach — 30 min south; major LGBTQ+ community with its own Pride and bar scene

LA Pride Calendar

LA Pride is one of the nation's biggest — and Long Beach Pride, WeHo Halloween, and the Sunset Strip circuit events fill the calendar year-round.

🎉
June

LA Pride (WeHo)

LA Pride fills West Hollywood's Santa Monica Boulevard with one of the nation's biggest Pride celebrations — a massive street festival, parade, and concert weekend drawing 400,000+ each June. The WeHo block parties on Pride weekend are legendary.

🎃
October

West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval

Santa Monica Boulevard closes to 500,000 costumed revelers on Halloween night — the largest Halloween street party in the world. The LGBTQ+ community leads the most spectacular, creative, and outrageous costumes in what has become a global must-attend event.

🏄
May

Long Beach Pride

One of California's largest Pride events, Long Beach Pride draws 80,000+ to the port city each May. A more laid-back alternative to the WeHo party scene — diverse, community-focused, and a great companion event to LA Pride.

🎥
October

Outfest Los Angeles

The nation's premier LGBTQ+ film festival — Outfest LA screens dozens of queer films at the Directors Guild of America and venues across the city each October. A landmark cultural event for the global LGBTQ+ cinema community.
